(第四届两校对话“编者按”)
编者按:“北大-复旦比较文学学术论坛”至去年止,已经成功举办了4次了。回顾这4次论坛的主题,我们不难发现主办者的良苦用心,那就是从比较文学的学科定位入手,逐步深入地探讨比较文学的教学问题(包括课程的开设、参考书目的推荐、博士论文的指导以及学术规范等)和科研问题(研究范围、论题的发现和确立、研究者素质要求等)。
第四届“北大-复旦比较文学学术论坛”的主题就是集中在比较文学的科研上。在会上,有学者提出,对一个比较文学研究者来说,应该具备“一个领域、两个以上语言”的素质,意思是一个比较文学研究者应该在某一个学科领域(或是中国文学,或是外国文学,或是其它学科)有比较扎实的根基,然后又具备两种以上的语言能力,即除中文以外,还至少精通一门以上的外语,这样才能切实地从事比较文学研究。这个意见得到与会者的一致赞赏。
为了具体地展示比较文学的研究领域和前景,与会者还交流了各自正在从事的比较文学研究课题以及他们对这些课题的设计和思考。还有的学者介绍了他指导的研究生所完成的比较文学课题以及对这些课题的社会反响,这对目前正在攻读比较文学学位的研究生也许有更直接的参考价值。
自第三届“北大-复旦比较文学学术论坛”起,“论坛”的参与者已经开始突破北大、复旦两个学校了,主办者还邀请了当地其他学校的比较文学学者一起参加讨论。此举对于深化论坛的讨论、扩大论坛的学术影响,都是很有意义的。我们希望下届“论坛”能在已有基础上进一步扩大邀请对象的范围,使“论坛”不仅成为国内比较文学界的一个学术品牌,同时还能切实对推进国内比较文学的教学和科研做出应有的贡献。
因篇幅所限,参加这次“论坛”的学者的发言未能全部发表,特此说明并向有关学者表示歉意。
Editor’s remarks:
“PKU FDU Comparative Literature Symposium” has been successfully held four times by far. In retrospect of the topics of each time, we can see that its central attention has been rested on the issues of CL teaching and research, concerning mainly the problems of CL curriculum, recommendation of bibliography, PhD supervision and academic standards, the fields of research, argument -building , and students’ qualities required.
The central topic this year is on CL studies and research. Some students hold the idea that a qualified researcher should lay a solid foundation in his/her research field, and acquire efficiency both in Chinese and a foreign language, and this idea received a wide acknowledgement at the symposium. Others made some presentations of their fruitful projects so as to offer an over-all map of CL research fields and their promising foreground.
It is exciting to see that many CL students from some other universities and colleges have been invited to join in since the Third Symposium. This invitation has a far-reaching significance to deepen the discussion and expand its academic influence all over the country. We hope more CL students can join in to make the symposium higher standard, and to contribute a great deal to CL teaching and research.
We regretted that we were unable to publish all the speeches at the symposium given the limited space of this journal. We apologize for that.
经典、经典性与关于“经典”的论争

摘要:本文讨论经典的概念、经典的形成及其本质特征、并简要论及了关于经典问题的论争。本文认为,经典不可能消失,它构成了一个民族文化的传统,但它的形成、标准等又不能不随社会和时代的演化而演化。

Abstract: This paper discusses the definition, formation of and dispute over canon. And it holds that canon, which shapes the tradition of a culture,can by no means disappear, but its formation and criteria will definitely change with the time and social development.

巴金的自我叙述与《随想录》的经典化

摘要:对《随想录》的经典化叙述包含三个层次:一是巴金的自我叙述;二是公众的期待性叙述;三是学院派的知识分子叙述。以上三个层次在相互渗透影响中形成各自的意义指向,共同塑造《随想录》的经典地位。本文重点探讨巴金的自我叙述及其与其他两种叙述间形成的互动关系,巴金对《随想录》的自我叙述经历了无意识书写到有意识建构的发展,对阐释者而言已经形成一种强势前理解,成为后两个层次叙述的逻辑起点。但是在《随想录》解读中仍需发现巴金自我叙述的限度并超越它,走一条能与时代思潮链接的学术路径。

Abstract: It is noticeable that the canonizing critical narrative on Ba Jin’s Capriccio on My Past (Sui Xiang Lu) consists of three levels: 1.the author’s self-narrative; 2.the narrative of the public; 3.the narrative of the academia. These three levels take on their own significances in the process of interaction and interweaving, and jointly make the text a literary canon. This essay, however, will focus its attention on Ba Jin’s self-narrative and its interactive relationship with the other two levels. It has found that Ba Jin’s self-narrative on Sui Xiang Lu goes through a process from the unconscious to the conscious, which has already formed a powerful pre-comprehension to readers, and become the logical starting point for the other two levels. But the present study should figure out and go beyond the limitation of Ba Jin’s self-narrative so as to make this canonic study pace with contemporary critical trends.

流散文学与身份研究
——兼论海外华人华文文学阐释空间的拓展

摘要:欲使我国有关流散及流散文学的研究不流为对西方批评话语的追随性的机械注释,需结合海外华人华文文学身份探索的具体问题拓展阐释空间。而这可从三个维度着手:从历史的维度认识百年中国移民潮与西方势力全球扩展因而侵入、改变中国社会文化结构的同步关系;从社会结构的维度认识海外华人社会非同质化的多元构成;从审美的维度研究海外文学的特殊母题和处理这些母题的美学架构。

Abstract: To avoid following the Western theoretical discourses on Diaspora and the literature of Diaspora, we must expand the interpretive space of overseas Chinese literature with regard to the specific problems in the identity pursuits, which can be achieved through the survey of Chinese immigrant history, the study of Overseas Chinese social structures and the aesthetic analysis of the representative motifs in Overseas Chinese literature.

流散文学与比较文学

摘要:“流散文学”近年来逐渐成为国内外学术界关注的一个热点问题。本文从“流散”问题的本源出发,以最具典型意义的流散史实为样本,力图考辨流散现象和流散文学的内在机理,探究流散文学与比较文学的内在联结,同时也对流散文学的学科界线、流散文学对比较文学及一般文学成规的挑战等论题,作出初步的界说。

Abstract: Diaspora Literature has been a hot issue in recent academic world. Tracing back to its originality of Diaspora problems, this paper takes the most typical Diaspora history as a sample, tries to search and differentiate Diaspora phenomena, sketch out the structure of Diaspora Literature, and then further explore the inner connection between Diaspora Literature and Comparative Literature. Meanwhile, this paper simply discusses the boundary of Diaspora Literature as a discipline and its challenges to comparative literature studies and general literature conventions.

——对迪斯尼动画片《木兰》文化身份的省思

[摘要] 迪斯尼动画片《木兰》在再现“他者”的过程中对本土文化进行了东方化和美国化,以美国主流文化的个人主义价值观置换了原作《木兰辞》所蕴涵的中国传统文化,从而改写了本土文化的民族身份。在这一过程中,作为强势文化的美国媒体实施了对弱势文化的整合与殖民,而真实的本土文化则遭遇了边缘化。

Abstract: In representing the Other, Disney’s animated feature Mulan replaces traditional Chinese culture embedded in the original Chinese ballad “Ode to Mulan” with individualism, the ideology of American mainstream culture by means of Orientalization and Americanization. In so doing, it rewrites the identity of Chinese culture. In this process, the American medium of the powerful culture integrates, colonizes and marginalizes the native culture.

绝对节奏与自由诗
——庞德《华夏集》对英语诗歌韵律的创新

摘 要:19世纪末20世纪初的美国诗歌以模仿维多利亚浪漫主义诗人为能事,其诗歌节奏死板僵化,不利于诗人客观地再现诗性体验。庞德本着自己“日日新”的创新诗学,在《华夏集》的翻译中注重意象的叠加与并置,创造性地使用绝对节奏,实现了对美国诗歌韵律的创新,引发了轰轰烈烈的自由诗运动,对韦利等后世诗人译者产生了深远的影响。

Abstract: It is a fad in the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries for the American poets to imitate the Victorian romanticists. The rigid foot and iambic meter in the late Victorian elegiac tradition have been a great hindrance for the representation of the poet’s immediate experience. As indicated in his poetics of “making it new”, Ezra Pound appeals to the combination and superpositioning of objective images and employs what he calls the “absolute rhythm” in the translation of his Cathay, innovating the poetic rhymes of American poetry and triggering out the verse libre movement in American literary history. His poetic experiments have exerted a far-reaching influence upon Arthur Waley and other poets or translators after him.

改革开放后我国外国文学翻译界的一场风波

摘要:本文借用安德烈·勒菲费尔三因素说中关于意识形态对翻译的操纵性影响的观点,尝试通过对《译林》译载《尼罗河上的惨案》引发的那场风波进行个案研究,考察在我国进入“新时期”之初的政治转型期,意识形态因素以及意识形态的嬗变对外国文学汉译的操纵和影响。
