01 影响概念的符号化和后现代时代的比较文学

摘要:传统比较文学的基本思路滞留于同一性范畴,由此造成了对应式的影响观念,这一僵化观念的内在弱点不难发现,中国比较文学界要求变革的声音近年来也不绝于耳。关键是如何克服其僵化,而这一克服势必涉及整个学科方法论基础的转移,因为影响关系乃是比较文学的原动力之一。本文提出的使比较文学和影响观念符号化的建议,其用意有三:1、以符号化实现影响概念的再生;2、通过符号化拓宽比较文学的活动空间,促进学科的科学化和对当代人文科学方法论新成果的充分吸收;3、促成一种以差异运动为核心原则的比较文学,以呼应后现代时代的理论精神。

Abstract: The traditional comparative literature remains a conception of identity, resulting in a notion of influence based on (non)equivalence to the original。 It is not difficult to find its inner stiffness。 The voice from the circle of Chinese comparative literature for a reform to overcome the stiffness in this concept has become louder recent years。 The solution to this problem, however, involves a change of the methodological basis of the whole discipline, because the relationship of influence is the original impetus of comparative literature。 As one of the solutions, this article suggests the semiotization of the discipline and its influence-concept to revive the influence-concept through semiotization, to enlarge the field of comparative literature through the scientification of the discipline and studying from the methodology of the contemporary human sciences, and to promote a new type of comparative literature with movement of differences as its core principle to comply with the cultural spirit of the postmodern era。

摘要:在中国与西方的文学文化交流中,汉诗英译经过了百年历程,为弘扬中华文明,沟通与增进中西跨文化交流起到很大作用。经过数代学者译家的努力,英译汉诗以多种形式(如多位诗人选集、个人全集或收入文学作品选集等)被西方读者和学界接受,产生了相当影响。至20世纪后半叶,由著名学者翻译家英译的优秀中国传统诗歌在欧美逐渐被经典化,在世界文学宝库中享有崇高地位。本文论述英译中国古诗在西方“经典化”的概况。

Abstract: In the past century, English translation of classical Chinese poetry has played an immensely important role in promoting cultural communication between the east and the west and in introducing Chinese civilization to the west。 English translation of classical Chinese poetry in various forms has been accepted among scholars and readers and has exerted much influence in the west。 The second half of the 20th century has witnessed the canonization of the English translation of classical Chinese poetry made by famous scholars and translators and the high position it enjoys in world literature。

03 文本意义的瓦解与衍生——重读经典短篇小说《好人难寻》

摘要:经典解读是一种文化行为,不同文化背景的读者会把自己对文学作品的理解融入解读过程之中,个性化的感受可以丰富文本的释义空间。本文将重读西方文学经典、美国女作家弗兰纳里?奥康纳的著名短篇小说《好人难寻》,意图展现文本意义不断衍生的可能性及经典文学作品的无穷魅力。奥康纳对反面人物“逆子”的同情令人费解,但是,通过对童年体验的分析,我们可以找到潜在愿望与有悖常理的行为之间的逻辑链,解释作者某些怪诞思想的合理性。

Abstract: The reinterpretation of classic literature is a cultural act。 Readers of different cultural backgrounds will certainly bring their own understanding of the text into the process of interpretation, thus expanding the space of meaning。 The present author intends to reread one of the most frequently anthologized American short story “A Good Man Is Hard to Find” by Flannery O’Connor, in an attempt to show that the great power of literature lies in its postponement of meaning。 Numerous readers feel puzzled over O’Connor’s sympathetic attitude towards “the Misfit”, a criminal at large。 But through analyzing traces of her early life experience, we may find a logic link between the author’s hidden intention and the rendering of the character in the story。

摘要:21世纪以来,“新神话主义”创作在世界文坛和影视界形成席卷之势,神话成为全球范围方兴未艾的文化产业的重要动力和资源—资本。本文着重探讨新神话主义潮流给比较神话学这门学科带来的新拓展机遇,力求说明:对于当代再造神话而言,学术底蕴为什么比想象力更加重要。跨文化比较的大视野和多民族神话遗产的知识,理应成为今天的作家、批评家,比较文学研究者,尤其是重述神话作者们的必备素质。

Abstract: Since the very beginning of 21st century, “neo-mythicism” has become one of the dominant elements in literary creation and movie-making in the world and myths have made an important impetus and resource of the cultural industry in the ascendant in the global scope。 This article intends to illustrate the new opportunity for development neo-mythicism brings comparative mythology by focusing on why academic training is more important to retold myths of contemporary era than imagination。 Transcultural and transnational perspective and a thorough knowledge of myths should be essential for the writers, critics, researchers of comparative literature, and especially, the retellers of myths today。

05 神话的永恒回归——从《神话的力量》看坎贝尔的神话哲学

摘要:约瑟夫·坎贝尔认为超验的世界是混沌一体的世界,是神的世界,而人的世界是一个对立的二元的世界。一方面,他强调这种二元关系中的互生互长,相互转换。他认为在时空界限中的一切都是双重的, 人的存在本来就是多重的二元性的组合。而另一方面,坎贝尔认为在一元和二元这个根本的二元模式中,前者是优于后者的。所有存在的最根本的基础可以从两种意义上去体验,一种是有形的,另一种是无形的也是超越形态的,但最终的目的还是与神成为一体,以此,二元性被超越,形式消失了。

Abstract: Joseph Campbell thinks that transcendental world is a unitary world which belongs to the God while that of Human is an opposite and dualistic one。 On the one hand, he elaborates on the conversional relationship of duality。 He believes in the duality of everything in the space time。 The existence of human is essentially multiple combinations of duality。 On the other hand, Campbell thinks that in the basic duality of oneness and duality, the former transcends the latter。 The most essential foundation of all existences could be experienced in two ways, corporeal and incorporeal。 However, the final aim is to be one with the God and thus the duality is transcended when the form disappears。

摘要:本文首先分析了台湾原著民(非汉族居民)的构成,继而整体性地梳理和说明了1895年以来中外学者所作的台湾原著民神话研究,最后,按照“广泛分布的主题”、“本地流传的故事”、“台湾本土所没有的神话”三大类别,重点阐释了南岛民族的神话与亚洲历史文化之间的关联。

Abstract: The article starts to analyze the constituents of the non-Han aboriginals of Taiwan, and goes on to make a systematic literature review of the studies on the myths of the aboriginals of Taiwan made by Chinese and foreign scholars since 1895。 By studying three kinds of myths: “widespread motifs”, “local legends” and “myths nonexistent in Taiwan”, this study focuses on the relationship between the myths of South Island and Asian history and culture。

07 帝国的翻译暴力与翻译的文化抵抗:韦努蒂抵抗式翻译观解读

摘要:本文分析了韦努蒂的抵抗式翻译策略的历史根源、具体方法和政治背景,指出他的这一翻译策略是对英美霸权传统的挑战,其实质就在于要用异化翻译的方式真实地再现源语文化的差异价值观,抵制美国主流语言文化价值观对翻译文本的暴力归化,让美国读者读到真正不同于美国价值观的语言文化他性,借此重塑源语文化和美国本土文化的原型,重组当今世界的政治格局。

Abstract: This paper analyzes the historic origin, specific methods and political background of Venuti’s strategy of resistant translation, which is taken as the challenge against the Anglo-American hegemonic tradition。 The essence of this strategy is to represent faithfully the values of the source cultures by means of foreignizing translation and thus resist the domestication violence of the dominant American lingual-cultural values over the translated texts。 In this way the genuine lingual-cultural otherness, different from American values, will be brought to the American readers。 Also in this process, the prototypes of both the source cultures and American culture will be reshaped and the present political pattern of the world restructured。

08 拉丁美洲文学翻译与中国当代文学

摘要:本文在文化研究的视野中考察中国在1949-1999年间对拉丁美洲文学的翻译与接受,关注这一过程中翻译与政治、翻译与意识形态之间复杂微妙的关系,揭示翻译与接受过程中的种种误读与错位、改写与挪用,尝试从不同的角度去观照当代中国的文学与历史。同时,试图将对拉美文学汉译历史的考察同思考中国的自我想像与世界视野的变迁联系在一起,从而切入翻译与文化身份建构的理论问题;力图避免将翻译与政治、文学与政治相对立的研究思路,相反,论文着意再现的正是翻译与政治之间联结的复杂性,并试图在新的历史语境中恢复翻译/文学作为一种社会实践的可能性。

Abstract:Examining China’s translation and reception of Latin American Literature from 1949 to 1999 from the perspective of cultural studies, the article is to discuss the complicated and subtle relationship between translation and politics, translation and ideology, and to uncover the various kinds of misreading and dislocation, rewriting and miscontextualization in the process of translation and reception, with the purpose of providing new perspectives to approach the literature and history in contemporary China。 Meanwhile, the study of the translation history of Latin American literature will be made in relationship with the change of China’s self-image and world perspective。 In this way, this study concerns the theoretical problems of the relationship between translation and construction of cultural identity。 Avoiding isolated study of translation and politics, literature and politics, this study attempts to examine the complicated relationship between translation and politics to restore translation/literature’s position as a way of social practice in new historical context。

09 绝妙寒山道——寒山诗在法国的传布与接受

摘要:“中国文化热”、敦煌学研究、自由诗运动、“垮掉派运动”、存在主义哲学以及世界性的禅学研究热等因素的影响,促成了唐代诗人寒山和寒山诗在法国这个汉学研究重镇的广泛传布与接受。寒山诗在法国的翻译与研究因此成为欧洲寒山学研究的风向标。

Abstract: The influence of Chinese culture boom, Dunhuang studies, free verse movement, the beat movement, existentialism and global Zen boom contribute to the dissemination and reception of Hanshan, the poet hermit of the Tang Dynasty (618-907) in France, a place of importance in Sinology studies。 The translation and studies of Hanshan’s poetry, therefore, have become the weathervane for European Hanshan Studies。

摘要:本文回顾了多恩在西方和中国的接受状况。多恩在西方的接受经历了17世纪的辉煌期、18世纪的冬眠期、19世纪的复苏期和20世纪的狂热期;多恩在中国的接受经历了20世纪80年代的发轫期、90年代的发展期和21世纪初的持续发展期。多恩的诗作受到不同时代人们的反复阅读并引起极端相反的评价,说明了多恩及其诗歌的独特性和复杂性,值得引起人们的关注和思考。

Abstract: This thesis conducts a survey of the reception of John Donne in the west and China。 The reception of Donne in the west has undergone a glorious period in the 17th century, a hibernation period in the 18th, a resuscitation period in the 19th and a fanatical period in the 20th century; Donne’s reception in China has undergone a beginning period in 1980s, a developing period in 1990s and a continual developing period at the beginning of the 21st century。 Donne’s poetry has aroused repeated reading and extremely contradictory opinions, which reflects the distinctiveness and complexity of Donne’s poetry and is worthy of our attention and thought。

11 历史想像与性别重构——世纪之交世界华文女性写作之比较

摘要:施叔青的《香港三部曲》、严歌苓的《扶桑》、虹影的《上海王》以及王安忆的《长恨歌》等是近年来世界华文女性写作中跨越多重时空背景、多元文化形态的历史性宏篇巨制,这些作品无一例外地持守女性立场,赋予女性主人公以历史发声的主体地位和重要见证作用,想像特定历史时段中的女性命运和性别关系,书写女性自我的历史主体性,重构女性记忆和历史,从而为世界华文女性写作提供自我认同和反省的精神镜像。

Abstract: The recent Chinese female writings such as Shi Shuqing’s Hong Kong Trilogy; Yan Geling’s Fusang, Hong Ying’s Shanghai King and Wang Anyi’s Long Mourn over the Past are all historical masterpieces of multiple spaces, times and cultures。 All of these works take feminist standpoint, endow the female protagonists with agency of historical speech and an important role as the witness of history, represent the female’s destiny and gender relationship in certain historical era, describe the historical agency of the female’s self and reconstruct the
female’s memory and history。 In this way, these works provides the Chinese female writing all over the world with the spiritual image for self-identification and self-reflection。

12 放逐到“阿拉斯加”的母亲

摘要:本文运用西方女性主义理论分析男性剧作家笔下的母亲形象,讨论母亲在挪威剧作家易卜生、美国剧作家奥尼尔和英国剧作家品特代表剧作中被放逐到“阿拉斯加”的过程。研究发现,多数剧作中的女性/母亲没有独立的身份,缺乏话语权,甚至要为男性的错误行为承担责任。男性把母亲边缘化以维护父权秩序,边缘化的女性在寻求主体性的过程中处于两难境地。

Abstract: Applying feminist theories to the analysis of motherhood in some representative plays by Henrik Ibsen, Eugene O’Neill and Harold Pinter, this essay discusses how the mother is banished to such a marginalized place as “Alaska”。 Most women/mothers do not possess independent identities or the power to control discourse, and are sometimes blamed for men’s mistake。 It is argued that man attempts to safeguard the patriarchal order by marginalizing the mother whereas the marginalized woman/mother is often caught in a dilemma in seeking subjectivity。

13 左翼批评家茅盾的颓废观念

摘要:西方的颓废思潮经过转译传播到租界化的上海后,遭到中国传统的名士风流、租界的疯狂享乐观念和左翼批评家的政治立场的渗透和改造。茅盾对西方的颓废文艺有着持久的兴趣,他从左翼评论家的立场对颓废观念进行改造,以“为人生”的观念解剖扬弃颓废的精神内涵,重新划定其意义边界,构设了新兴无产阶级的颓废观念样本。

Abstract: The thoughts of decadence brought to Shanghai characterized by the concessions occupied by the imperialists through translation were refashioned and reshaped by Chinese traditional elitism, hedonism in the concessions and political standpoint of the leftwing critics。 Mao Dun held a lasting interest in the arts of decadence。 He reshaped the decadence notion from his standpoint of leftwing critic to make it a model notion of decadence for the newly-arising proletariat by redefining it。

14 有缘故的爱与无条件的爱——关于鲁迅与基督教文化资源关联的思考

摘要:无论从文化根源、历史演变还是社会现实的角度,鲁迅语境主要是人文的和俗世的,基督教文化语境是灵魂关照和信仰层面的。鲁迅语境中的爱是有是非、善恶、亲疏、远近、智愚、高下区分的;基督教文化语境中的爱是无缘故、无条件、无原则的。鲁迅语境的爱主要凸显爱者的自主性以及爱者与被爱者二者之间的关系,基督教文化语境中的爱强调的是超验的第三维度的律例、典章、诫命、法度和信念。基督教文化语境中“爱不值得爱的人”能给人更大的启发。

Abstract: From the perspective of cultural origin, historical evolution and the society condition, Lu Xunian context is mainly humanistic and secular, while Christian context is spiritual and religious。 The love in Lu Xunian context is to be delivered in terms of right and wrong, good and evil, close and distant, intelligent and unintelligent, and distinguished and obscure, while love in Christian context is delivered unconditionally。 Love in Lu Xunian context is characterized by the giver’s agency and the relationship between the receiver and the giver while Christian context emphasizes transcendental laws, institutions, imperatives, commandments and faith。 “Love the unworthy” in the Christian context can bring us more inspiration。

15 中西神话及其在文学主题中的呈现刍议

摘要:由于地理环境、心理结构和审美情趣等方面的差异,中西神话形成了多方面的变异和差别。同时,神话和文学是密不可分的,无论是在中国还是在西方文学发展过程中,我们都能在许多文学主题中发现神话故事和人物的踪迹,这些神话因素一直以不同的面貌被反映到各自文学的创作和发展中,使中西文学呈现出多样的差异性。

Abstract: Based on different geographic environment, psychological structure, and aesthetic taste, the Chinese and Western mythologies are different from each other in many aspects。 Meanwhile, mythology and literature are closely interrelated; we can easily find traces of mythological tales and characters in many literature themes。 These mythological elements reflect different creation and development of Chinese and Western literature。
